Is it true that a dwarf cherry tree holds to big cherries and can stay in a pot? I'm going to have to start a porch garden but this year, I want cherry tree, strawberries, blackberries and anything else that's pot friendly.

I think that you would need a really large planter pot to put even a dwarf cherry tree in, and keep it there. I think they will get too tall to bring in the house, if that is an issue. I have not ever had one; but from what I read about them; they grow around 10' tall.
However, there are what is called bush cherries, and those could be kept in a pot just fine. I had one of those before, and it had blossoms on it when it was only a little over 2' tall, and I think the final height was around 4-5' at maturity.
I moved and left mine before it had cherries; so I have no idea how good the actual cherries are.
