Well I bought all natural cedar mulch today, and I always buy the same one from the same nursery, and when I opened it, the color was more reddish. And the ones I bought few weeks ago that I already spread around my garden are just pure light brown wood color. Why is this mulch a different color? When I opened it, I realized it was a little moist..could the moisture be changing the color? Will the mulch turn back light brown when it gets dry? I looked this up but nothing related to this showed up

Well wet or damp wood products are going to be naturally darker, and sun has a natural bleaching effect. So what you are seeing is the natural difference between damp wood and sun-dried wood.
