Does anyone used these bee cups in your garden?

Fancy when I kept bees I used to put a shallow plastic tray of water with a few small pieces of wood floating in it near the hives in dry weather.

They come to ask if my critter watering stations. Like Oliver says above, I have to put either floating pieces of wood or longer sticks diagonally in the dishes so they have a way to get out in case they get sick in the water. I also have to use sticks in jelly feeders for the same reason.

Bees are happy to use the bird bath in my garden which contains two or three pieces of slate for easy access/exit.
