A couple robins in the yard.
Love the American Robbin. They are usually one of the first signs of spring here passing through northward in Feburary...but for some reason I missed them this year.

They are your official state bird @dirty hands and well deserving.

I have never seen one at the feeder...have you?

Meadowlark no they dont visit any of the feeders but they love my yard. Once here they are here they are here everyday and in decent numbers. I find a couple nests every year.

Yeah, I actually enjoy birdwatching a lot—it’s super relaxing, especially early in the morning. I like just sitting quietly and seeing what shows up. I even looked into some trail cams once and ended up checking the spypoint customer service phone number for info—they’ve got some cool options for wildlife watching too.

In the Bird World, I'm amazed at the stark differences between the male and female of the species. A good example is the American Goldfinch shown below. We only had females at our feeder all winter but now a bunch of males have joined the party presumably on their way North.

I had 2 birds hit 2 different windows about 5 minutes apart this morning. Not direct strikes and the both flew off without issues. On the shady side of the house too.
