Hello I'm brand new here and fairly new to gardening so apologies for basics or being naive.
I planted oregano along with other herbs and veggies. I have an oregano seedling with one set of leaves about 4 1/2 inches tall. I've read to thin it out around 5 weeks as well as 4 inches tall. It is 10 days old.
When should I trim it?

You can't always go by directions on packages but if you can send a picture or two we will know more than just a haphazard guess.

Sounds good. I've probably started slightly early but I have more to come. I appreciate the responses.
What they meant when they said to thin the plants they meant to pull up and remove the plant. When you plant herbs you plant a bunch of seeds and when they are large enough you pull up the weakest and keep a few of the strongest until you have 3 or 4 strong plants some distance apart. When I plant herbs I get a 5 gallon bucket, fill it with soil and plant about one quarter of the seeds in the seed packet which is a lot of seeds. I will end up with 5 or 6 plants. Please update your profile and let everyone know your location and hardiness zone so when you have another question folks will have a better idea on how to help.
