OK, so I am over 55 and have never heard of these and I am on Kroger's email list, what's your source?

Locally a beauty salon does a 20 percent discount for "seniors" and Burger King offers a free small coffee with any purchase for those over 60.

Fantastic list to know! I shopped at Thrift Stores on Wednesday since they also offer half off on certain things there. Good to know.

Never heard about a lot of these stores either, but I am sure they are somewhere in USA. As far as Kroger, they are hard to find, we do have one local. My source, this was given to me by someone couple months ago, so have not got a clue the source. There is a book out there that contains deals etc for the over 55, so the book would be a good resource. Also bet AARP would have something in their link in this area. Things change all the time to this type of benefit/list for the over 55 years old. Like I know the one grocery store I love to use is not on the list and they give discounts. In reality, the knowledge of this, and to ask for, if your over 55 is a good thing.

True, I really didn't know so many stores gave discounts...I mostly shop Kroger for groceries and stuff, so I'll give them a call and ask. :)

Here's one more - local but I bet others do the same - the county Humane Society will adopt out pets to people 65 and older for no charge:

And the local hair styling/cut chain Grondin's does 25 percent off all services for 55 and older on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
