I'm new to planting tulips, I'm very upset with myself right now. I didn't have soil at the time I received my tulip bulbs so I put them in the fridge as per google said it was ok to do so. Then I noticed they were sprouting a little bit and I put them in my fridge freezer for maybe 2 hours. I foolishly thought it would decrease the growth and I didn't want them to sprout yet due to not having soil and I was waiting till payday to go get potting soil.
Googled some more, and found out freezing them is extremely bad and will kill them. Now most of them are mushy except 2 of them, what should I do now?
Plant them and hope and pray they still grow?
I have them out of the fridge, room temp in hopes that'll help them have a better chance at being able to grow when I pot them.
Is a 10in pot an ok pot for them to have plenty of room to grow?
Additionally, I read that 2-3 inches apart is best, but how deep should I plant them; the pot is pretty deep I'd say 12in

Throw out the mushy ones, they aren't viable and pot the ones that survived it.

A word to the wise: whatever you endeavour to do, find out all about it on line before you attempt it. If I want to grow a plant that I have never grown before I google facts about it, read all the posts I can ( especially those by University agriculture extension agencies) so that I have all the facts available, then I decide if that plant will work in my soil, in my climate zone, and what additives to the soil it needs to thrive .

Makes life happier and I don't waste money.😄

Use well-draining potting soil, and place the pot somewhere cool and sunny.
They may still surprise you!
Good luck!
