Cucumber

Hi everyone,
So I planted 2 cucumber plants I bought about 2 weeks ago or so. Question is visually and texturally, what am I looking for good or bad.
Example: A couple leaves feel almost like light sandpaper texturally.
Also the original 2 leaves, the oval ones below rest, should they stay or go?

The two original leaves will eventually disappear. On the second picture it shows signs of leaf curl which was probably caused by a weather change of some sort. Also the pic shows signs of over watering (leaf margins turning brown).
