Nice I have never seen a Cedar Waxwing baby before. Plenty of adults, but this is a special treat and such a good photo.

Yes for us it is a annual, and goes by the name Cuphea Ignea. In different parts of the country it might be called cigarette, cigar, or firecracker plant.
