Could this plant be chili?

Hello,

this plant has grown inside a pot where I had long ago put some chili seeds. Coud it be chili or is it just some native plant from Baja California Mexico where I live?

This is not a Chile Pepper (Capsicum annuum).

This looks like it might be a Dayflower (Commelina) or Spiderwort (Tradescantia), both in the Dayflower Family (Commelinaceae),
but it would be good to see flowers. Please post more pictures if this plant blooms for you. There are both native and introduced species of Commelinaceae on the Baja Peninsula.
