Common UK Plants

I have two plants that seem to be pretty common in London/UK, but I don't know what they are. Any help in the names so I can google caring and propagation instructions would be helpful and appreciated!

The broadleaf plant has a thick root system that sits partially above ground, produces a single flower for one bloom, and then remains evergreen throughout the year.

The other plant appears to be a succulent of some kind.

I think they are Bergenia and Mesembryanthemum, common name Livingstone Daisy.

First one as said is Bergenia and the second is more likely to be Delosperma than mesam. Delos are a lot hardier and perennial as opposed to tenderish and annual. Treatment is the same though.
