Hi guys,

Based on the uploaded pictures, is this collar rot around my lemon tree's base?

Seems like it is. I suspect it is the cause of the ooze of sap from the upper branches.

What do you reckon guys?

It may be, but Iam going to bet against it. Collar rot is usually found in apple trees. I have never seen it in lemons but I guess it is possible. One of the causes of it is poor draining soil and the tree sitting in water. That certainly doesn’t look like that’s the case with your tree. I’m sorry I can’t give you a remedy.

Fair enough. Thanks for the input though. Appreciated.

I will spray it with anti rot on the weekend and rejuvenate the mulch around it before summer hits in Australia.

But to assist any one who might have some thoughts on the pictures I did note a tint of green on tbe bark right at the base which seemed odd.

It's in the picture but hard to notice.
