Coffee Grinds For The Asking

If you need coffee grinds to add to your compost or just to add to your garden and you do not drink coffee Starbucks will give you some of their grinds. I saw a flyer posted at my local Starbucks stating they give their grinds to those that ask for them.

Yes, I've had lots of grinds from Starbucks over the years, and I drink a lot of coffee too, so there's always plenty. I find the grinds very useful for keeping slugs and snails away from my hostas, but some of the larger slugs don't seem to mind them! Eggshells are good for keeping them at bay too.

I have found that Tullys also has free coffee grounds for free at their locations. These are also good for keepiong bugs out of your home if you spread them aroundd the sills and door frames.
