Bladderpod (Peritoma arborea, formerly Cleome isomeris or Isomeris arborea), in the Spider-flower Family (Cleomaceae), is native to arid and semi-arid regions of southern (Alta) California and the Baja California Peninsula. This pale shrub with golden flowers and curious fruit wants full sun and excellent drainage. It does not like clay.

Interesting ! Cleome are difficult in u.k. there is also Cleome rosalita hybrid . I found difficult to propergate we here just don't get the sun in u.k. . If sown too late bolt if sown too early it's not warm enough to put out and seedlings get leggy. I think the idea is to broadcast the seed but won't work in u.k.
