Zigs, that is a great gift, but beware! We have hens, and they have a tendency to grow on your affections. I'm sure a rooster will, too.
Your daughter is so imaginative (wonder where she got that?)!

What a great gift! Could you please ask her where she got it? I could think of someone that would really enjoy it :)

That is fantastic! My parents have a small chicken and turkey farm and would love an addition that doesn't chat back, wreak havoc in the garden, or sneak out to the neighbors yard!

The box next to her seems to say "Button Free Range Goose." Is your Christmas chicken celebrating the fact that she is not a goose?
Nice necklace, by the way. If only she had ears, she could sport matching earrings.

The cat is terrified of her :D

Years ago, I was looking after the cat while Sis was away, (she ignores me when Sis is home)

Because I was feeding her she brought me some food in return, in the form of a baby Wood Mouse.

It was still alive although injured, I cwched it all night and gave it food and water.

It lived for 3 years, twice the life span of a mouse in the wild :)
