When is it time to grow chickpeas? Both my husband and I love them and we eat them pretty often. Can I use the organic chickpeas I buy to grow them?

When is it time to grow chickpeas? Both my husband and I love them and we eat them pretty often. Can I use the organic chickpeas I buy to grow them?

Now is the time. Soak about 10 of them 3 or 4 hours and plant them. Wait about 5 days and dig up half of them and if you see signs of sprouting they are ok so go ahead and plant. If you don't see any signs wait another 4 or 5 days and dig up the rest. If there is still no sign of sprouting they are more than likely inviable but still delicious
