We got 12 new chicks about three weeks ago. They have been inside in the "nursery" until this week, when we have been putting them outside in their secure playpen so they get fresh air, exercise, and sun. It also helps that they get tired out and stop that infernal eternal peeping when they get back inside!
The nursery is set up in our guest bedroom, and the playpen is where I can keep an eye on it from the kitchen or from the patio while enjoying a glass of wine. Perhaps if I put a little wine in their water it might cut down on that peeping . . . .
