Wondering why my celery isn't forming correct. It's tall and round. Very little resemblance to normal celery.

From what I know, commercial celery is grown in a sleeve to keep it cylindrical.

Remember, it's just really big wet parsley. Parsley flops around too.

And while you didn't ask, don't plant your celery near beets. You'll have pink celery!

I'm growing celery the first time this year and from what I've been reading/watching it's typically "blanched." Look for that and you will find the info you're looking for, I think I'm going to be trying the method of wrapping it in newspaper and tying it with an elastic band.

I too would like to see if anyone with personal experience chimes in here.
