Carpet plants?

Back when I had a fish tank, I remember reading about carpet plants like Hemianthus Callitrichoides and Glossotigma Elatinodies (I did keep the later, with little success). I was wondering if there is a house plant variety?

I have a weeping fig and a ficus, but the pots looks kind of bare, I was wondering if there was anything small I could also plant in there?

There are several suitable plants. For example, Soleirolia soleirolii (Helxine soleirolii), Selaginella, Callisia or Nertera grenadensis.
