Hello ! Im new to this forum and english is my second language,so be kind with my gramatical mistakes.
My question:someone posted on a social site a picture with a flower of lilac sprout straight from the ground !
No branches,no leaves, just the flowers ! She mentioned that the shrub was cut very drastical,a few times, almost razed from above the ground, and after that, next year,a big lilac flower sprouts alone from the ground.
In my opinion this is not possible.
Can you guys say something about this?Did somebody saw or heard something like that?
This is the picture of lilac.

Misstina, I think you are right--that is not possible. Most plants, including lilacs, need to store nutrients before flowering. A lilac blossom springing up from the soil just isn't natural. I think someone cut a blossom and stuck it in the ground and took a photo.
