Possibly. This time of year most things root quickly and rapidly, but they form water roots if kept in water which are not the same as soil roots. I have been most successful with rooting in soil. Small pots in a shady part of the garden with the soil kept moist root the fastest.
Ivy is very easy to propagate. If you pull off a long bit from the garden, there will probably already be roots growing from every node. All you have to do is cut them up and plant them in soil.
