Bugs eating my ZZ plant

Hey guys.
I have had this zz plant for the past three years and it has been doing great.
I repotted the plant into a bigger pot about 4 month ago.
yesterday i was inspecting my plants and i noticed a hole at the base of the stem of my zz plant.
after i removed some of the potting medium i saw that there are some kind of small whitish bug lurking around .
I have no idea what this bug is and how to deal with it, but i think this bug is eating my plant!

It's hard to tell based on the photo but mealybugs aren't strangers to ZZ plants. I'd change the soil if it looks like a big infestation. Then take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to remove live bugs or use a pesticide and spray a couple of times a week until you no longer see any.
