Bugs around sweet potatoes plant & Cherry Tomatoes.

Hi,
New to gardening.
I found that my sweet potatoes plants are attracting a lot of small flies and recently new ones that i can't identify.

They gather around the pots of the Sweet potatoes plant. Wondering if they are preying on the flies or the leaves of the plants.

I am seeing the similar small flies around my young cherry tomatoes plants

Any advice would be appreciated.
