Hello all, I need help with my Bromeliad. It's a Guzmania (white) and it has brown spots on its leaves. Most of them are small, but there are two big ones on two leaves. I believe it's scorched because I mist it and water it regularly. Any idea how to fix it? Is there a time limit? I'm still a newbie in the plant world so sorry for anything wrong here, thanks :)

Under feed and under water them. Got a pic or 5? They are in some kind of mid day shade right?

So pale! I thought the base leaves would be darker. How are they fed? Inside only? Do you ever have fungi on other plants in the area? Has it flowered?

Yep, only inside my room. No fungi on my plants tho. Not sure if it's flowered, bought it in the same state except the spots. Could this be because of underwatering or the humidity in my room?

I cannot say that the leaves are especially odd. These are mine (wife's actually) and they live outside basically 10 months and we have nast high humidity. Here its Nov 8 and the goofballs are blooming again.

I guess a yellow edge might mean infection in your leaf wounds. But they do come and go faster than one thinks for a slow grower. Bloom is a big deal, some use the moment to pass on genes and die. If you can get your hands on some compost and feed them thats good. They are arborial and freak out when you sprinkle leaf mold compost. The cow type is not their favorite.

If you just got them they could be getting shock, but they are really slow about everything.

And to spite the time lock on this site, I wanted to add -do you notice how these bromos are blooming into the very foodfall they need? It is not even broken down into the spaces between leaves yet. It is an old way.
