I tried growing broccoli once, and remember I was surprised how little "bang for my buck" I got, especially compared to plants like tomato and zucchini, so I never bothered to grow it again. So in my experience, yes.
i guess no more work than i put into it, it saves money at the grocery store because we eat a lot of it. i'll have to pick up seed while they are cheap for next year and plant a lot more. i only planted a few this year just to try it.
Try getting some Purple Sprouting Broccoli, you plant that out now, it overwinters, then you get lots of small florettes in the spring instead of one big head.
You just keep cutting and freezing them for as long as its producing.
