Hello! I am absolutely in love with this plant! My new Brasil philodendron. I bought it from lowes about a week and a half ago. I have not watered it once since purchasing this plant. The soil however is still very wet. I'm not sure if that's a good thing because my first thought is that there isnt good drainage. I'm not sure if I should repot or maybe put it in a sunnier spot. Any suggestions are well appreciated! I have this in a W facing exposure. And I pruned it a few days after buying and have tons of new growth!

You are doing right by not watering and allowing the soil to dry well before watering again. It could be two weeks before your plant will need watering again. When it's time to water, water your Philodendron well until you see a little water come out if the bottom, and then allow the top 50% of the soil to dry before watering again. These plants are easy to over-water and its better to lean on the dry side instead of the wet side in the beginning.
If you notice many of the leaves turning yellow at the same time, you are giving the plant too much direct light. If you notice it is getting leggy, it may need more light. You picked a beautiful plant that should last for years. Good luck

Thank you so much! I've had a lot of plants die over the years due to lack of knowledge and I am trying to learn more!
