Hello fellow gardeners.
I have a self pollinating blueberry bush in a container. It produces some blueberries, but am told it would be better with a second bush next to it. I am not sure what type of blueberry it is. Could I take a cutting from original bush and plant it next to it? or is that redundant?

Also does it have to be the same type of blueberry bush or can I plant a second of a different variety.

thanks!

I would opt for diversity, it makes things easier to propogate and follow compared to an overly detailed effort to support a monoculture. One could find it all in a laboratory or specialized environment effort but that is a spacecraft headed to mars.
