Hi guys,

Can anyone help?

My Swiss Cheese that I bought roughly 1 month ago is showing dark brown/ black spots and splodges on it’s leaves.

I have only watered it twice and misted it a few times since I’ve had it. It seems heathy otherwise and the new leaves are unaffected.

But the brown areas continue to grow which is worrying. The plant is in a darker part of the room but still has indirect sunlight.

I don’t know if it’s root rot? The roots seem firm and green. Could it be a fungal or bacterial infection?

How can I treat my poorly plant?

Hi and welcome to GF
It looks healthy perhaps you misted it too much and the water stayed on the leaves. I'd remove the affected leaves.

Thank you :)

I did some more research and it looks like you’re right and I have over misted the leaves. I trimmed them off and the plant is doing well now!

Thanks again!
