Never had the need for remote access, so no help there. What I would say is to check out how it connects i.e. does it have screw on connection. One of the main failures I found was in hot weather some connectors would expand and pop off and you lose a lot of water and possible your plants. It also depends on the area trying to water on what type(s) of timer you need. At one point we ended up with x3 timers for one very large veg plot, in our case it was simply because the mains pressure was low. I’m sure these days there are much better solutions and timers out there
