Best small plants

Hey guys. I live in a small apartment (27 square meters/290 square feet), so unfortunately I don't have the room to get big indoor plants. I was wondering if you guys have any small plant suggestions that aren't cacti that could cheer up my place a bit.

Not sure how small of a plant you are looking for.

Tillandsias are nice. Micro Mini Sinningia are pretty.

I really like orchids, they bloom for ages and they are so pretty. Most varieties don't get too big, and there are miniature varieties if you want something really small.

Your ideas are really great and would help me as well.

I don't have much space in my apartment as well but need the presence of flowers. I will explore orchids as suggested.
