Can anyone tell me what this bay leaf cutting has and

Welcome to the forum @Rhue :)
Has it been extra hot in your neck of the woods lately? That could be the cause of the leaf scorch, and your tree may lose its leaves altogether. Other reasons could be improper watering, or wind scorch - I don`t expect it will be icy cold weather.
If the tree does lose its leaves, wait to see if it will recover by itself. Don`t water it, leave it fairly dry, and don`t give it any fertiliser either. Good luck.

Thank you so much! I got two babies at the same time and one is doing well, but this one came with the red line on the outside of the leaves.
Yes it has been very hot here in north TX. I will put this tree in the shadeimage.jpg
Well not this tree that is good but the first one I posted.
