Basil leaves

Hie,

I am growing basil in a container for almost 6 months but recently some of the leaves are being damaged , I do not understand the cause of it. I have attached the image of a leaf.
Please help.

Classic leaf miner damage.

Penn State University has a short article on it here

Generally won't hurt the plant too much. Remove the damaged leafs.

6 months for a basil plant. Sounds like you should cook more or make some pesto...

Yes I use it often in soups.
Thanks for the link of article. But is there anyway to stop the damage?
