Really need some help. Completely out of ideas as to what to do in the corner of our garden behind garage. Looking at around a 4x3m space - built an archway into the area but the grass doesnt survive behind garage so it cant really be a turfed design. Would like ideas to include something to stop kids on the other side bouncing on their trampoline and looking over the fence constantly.. - it doesnt alot of sun as a result of setting behind this area..
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. :)

I suggest dispensing with the lawn completely and turning it into a gravel or paved area. LInks for ideas below....

The containers you have there already could be reused. A raised bed running around the boundary fence is another idea, or may be a couple in the centre. Regarding privacy, the fence could be topped with trellis and climbers planted to weave in and out for screening.

You can do great big things with little gardens. I would start digging if I were you, and buy some great big plants - like bamboo (not the running ones - just clumpers) Turn it into a mini jungle - there are lots of hardy palms and ferns, and you have room for a pond/water feature. A self clinging plant for the garage wall - like parthenocissus henryana. Before you know where you are you`ll forget you have neighbours.
By the way, welcome to the forum :)

Creating a really nice garden needs some long term planning.

Then tackling it a bit at a time. Starting with the bit nearest the house. Getting that right which you can see from a window will encourage you to start on the next bit.
To soften fences, you can use a variety of climbing plants or those that can be supported by wires strung between the posts.

Bamboo against a back fence is ideal, it can give the impression a garden is longer than it really is.

Quince is ideal.

and provides a lot of foliage when the blooms have gone.

Clematis is excellent cover for fences.
