Zigs, it is so nice to find someone who takes the time to enjoy his surroundings! I hope you continue to find goodies on the beach, balance rocks, and visit beautiful spots in the UK. Seeing your shared photos are always a pleasure.

Yes indeed I always like seeing posts about zigs' mindful walks and gorgeous countryside. And rock balancing of course!

Ta Girls :)

No work today so back down there again later.

Good thing about metal detecting is you don't have to look at what you're doing. Just have to wait for the beep, so eyes are free to look at the geology of the cliffs, or watch seals out to sea :)

How nice that your sculpture was left standing. Obviously was appreciated and admired

I think folk pull them over as they don't believe it's possible, one of my admin colleagues on the other forum still reckons I use superglue :D

I remember an interview I saw on the television with a guy who does rock balancing. Promised myself I'd try it, then promptly forgot about it. I'm glad I opened this thread!! I hunted the net for him, his name is Michael Grab.

As always, beautiful pictures.

You might enjoy this link, zigs!! This guy is definitely using superglue. :ROFLMAO:

Just emailed the pics to the small finds officer in Dorchester. Does that mean you keep what you find, or does it go to a local museum?
When we lived in upstate NY, the historical commission was so strict on what one could and couldn't do on one's property that if you found any evidence of an Indian lodge, hunting camp, or even arrowheads, you quickly learned to keep your mouth shut and not tell about it. I had no problem handing over any finds, but having a swarm of archeologists from a local college descend on my garden, marking out squares and then digging just wasn't on my program!
