The first image I’ve planted with a mix of dirt in my yard, and organic soil. The rest are just planted straight in the ground without any bagged soil, I live in Arizona if that makes any difference. Are they doomed :(?

No, they’re not doomed. The one in the pot will dry out slowly because of the garden soil so watch the watering on that one (although your weather should take care of that worry).;) Just keep the others on the dry side and they should be okay. If there is a good nursery near you they can help a lot with local conditions.
