Hi, recently started noticing this happening to our Apple tree. Any guidance on what might be causing it or what should he done will be greatly appreciated.

The lower limb attached to that branch is still alive. Must be something causing it above that lower branch.

Keep all the dead cut-off the trees so your plant doesn't suffer from a disease attack.

The apple shriveled up for some reason. I assume water and/or nutrients where cut off from the apple/s. I don't see cedar apple rust or frogeye. Might be fireblight starting as Chuck said.

Did the damage start with the new growth or did it affect old leaves as well?
