Hello! I am new here, and I thought the first thing I would post about is this yellowing on my apple tree. It was cut down a Few years ago. Thankfully it sprouted again! So it’s nothing about the spot being bad it used to thrive there. I also noticed earlier in the year this white mold on the lower trunk where it sprouted from. Please help! Thanks! (I know I need to prune it lol)

That doesn't look too bad, but here's a thought. Most apple trees are grafted on to a rootstock, is the new growth coming from above or below the graft? If it is coming from below it will be a tree selected for it's strong root growth and the apples will probably be rubbish.

I have had apples from this tree before. It just got cut down a while ago and I think that’s where some type of something came in. It’s recovering there are multiple shoots. Ima have to cut one down during winter prob the small one Edit: I get what you mean now I will check later. You are asking if the new growth is coming from the root growth stock, not the good apple grafted onto it.

I wouldn't prune the tree while its actively growing. The main problem I see is the tree is planted too close to the fence. It looks like your tree has Iron chlorosis to me. That could be caused from not having enough available iron in the soil or from the pH going too high and locking up iron.

Iron deficiency may be the case. But also. This tree has been here for years. It produced so many apples with no issue. Note that!

I turned the soil and planted something else near it and then lots of mycelium popped up. Guess I pulled up some spores or whatever. mushrooms too! I think that’s where could be using iron? I don’t know.

Hello! Type in Purdue Tree Doctor and you should get that to pop up. It is one of many apps that Purdue has built databases for. It may cost up to $5 but the Apps are well worth the cost. There will be a button to check for disease that is on the tree, the limbs, and the fruit. And you can ask questions of their 'experts' as well.
Another great App for Gardeners is 'Plant Net' which identifies many different plants either through photos of leaves of flowers. This I believe is still free, except that the payment is you deciding their reply is correct, and then hitting a button to UPLOAD your plant photo to the Plant Net database!
