I've been doing a lot of research (mostly binging the Plant's Meow's anthurium videos) in preparation for acclimating a queen anthurium that is currently in transit to me. However, most acclimation advice I see for queen anthuriums is either 1) for people who acclimate using a greenhouse 2) for plants imported from outside of the U.S.
I don't have a greenhouse, but I do have a humidifier and intend to acclimate the plants inside my bathroom which has average humidity levels of 60% or higher and temperatures that range from around 68-75 degrees F. I was also planning putting her in a clear plastic bag to help keep the humidity high. Is this something that I should do or should I leave her exposed to the air? And, if the answer is yes to the first question, then how long should I keep her bagged up?
My other question is: Is there anything I would do differently when acclimating a mature queen anthurium that is traveling across the U.S. instead of coming from outside of the country?
If you've taken the time to read through all of this, I really appreciate it!! I just want to make sure I have success with this acclimation process.
