I'm on the quest to find a brassica oleracea that i can reliably save seeds from to make sauerkraut.
It's too cold for cabbages to overwinter, probably it could work in a root cellar, but I'd rather not go there.
Heavy layers of mulch could work, but I'm wondering what the world offers in terms of true annuals.

So, has anyone grown leaf broccoli spigariello and did it flower for you without vernalization?

I'm open to all ideas

Well, I guess that no one has any experience growing leaf broccoli spigariello. Can you tell me about it, and what are the basics? I would like to know what your growing conditions are needed to grow leaf broccoli spigariello.

I've never grown it but always eager to try something new in the veggie garden. I do grow a lot of Broccoli and Kale, and this sounds like it has similarities to both.
