Hello, can you answer a few questions about the use of antibiotics in gardening. You can answer with a short answer yes or no, or you can describe your answer in more detail. I need it for my school biology project

1. Do you use antibiotics to protect plants from diseases?

2. Do you think antibiotics are an effective remedy against bacterial infections in plants?

3. Have you noticed that antibiotics affect plant growth?

4. Do you think antibiotics can be used only in extreme cases?

If the antibiotic you refer to is glyphosate, then I have used it because the soil control experts told me it was safe about forty years ago. I have since been told it kills all the life in the soil. Bacteria is part of nature and is killed by glyphosate. The microbiome in the soil is beneficial to plant growth and plant life is severely weakened when you use glyphosate.
I vote YES.

The closest I have ever come to using antibiotics on plants is the use of asprin which I "think" works but have never actually done a side by side test. We all get enough antibiotics from the meat we eat. I don't think we need it in our vegetables as well.
