Hi All,
Here's the story of my new Anthurium;
My Anthurium was a gift and it needed repotting since the roots were growing out of the pot and curling at the bottom. I went on a mission and made a potting mix of tree bark, perlite and peat moss.
After repotting, I watered the potting mix so that the roots would settle. The shop's potting mix was made of orchid mix (I think) so it absorbed way too much water.
2 days later, leaves started browning. I removed all the soil and de-tangled the roots, trimmed the black tips of the roots and repotted using my airy potting mix.
The question is...should I water the potting mix (with less water) since I just inserted a new mix between the roots, or should I leave it be due to root rot?
