Does anyone know what this is? I found this metal item in a 2nd hand store in Pennsylvania. I do not know if it is actually used on farms or gardens. I am thinking possibly a cooking device or a fireplace fixture?
The grate is not fixed to the frame and can actually be lifted in and out. That is to say, if you lift the frame; the grate does not come up with it. And I don't see any hardware or holes that might be used to attach the grate to the frame. Puzzling.
The frame is about 3' long and 2' deep and about 1.5' high. It is all metal and very sturdy. Looks as though it was never used. Could it simply be hung from the ceiling in a kitchen and used to hang pots from?
Thank You!

Yep, you guessed it. It is a pot/pan hanger. I have two of them. You screw eye bolts into the ceiling joists and then hang it from them by the hooks. Then you hang those things in the plastic bag onto the grate or the frame and then hang your pot/pans on them. Very handy if you cook a lot. There are a bunch of different models but if you scroll down on the link below you will find almost the exact one.
