Over the last couple of years my number of amaryllis as grown. I have successfully overwintered (thought getting timing for blooms is still out of reach.
I'm in Z6 East coast. This Year I ended up with 4 distinct bulbs in the ground all summer. I fully expected the green to die back last month. For whatever reason they're still quite green (but finally showing some yellow. Its been frosty cold but the location is a little-microcimate I presume.)

I can't wait to dig 'em next week. so today it is. Should the green growth be removed? Should I cut off all the tentacles? Leaving just the bulb?
OR should I pot and dorm them, greens and all for a couple of months in a basement? I've left them bulbs in dorm over winter and then early spring I pot them inside, ultimately moving them outside win warmth. Or is it just my preference to do any of the above?

Thanks! look forward to the activity here.

You are right on time for digging Amaryllis to go into winter storage. I wouldn't remove any green off your Amaryllis because removing the green can weaken the bulb in the long run. Green leaves are still photosynthesizing, which helps the bulb store energy for the next Season. The green leaves will give the Amaryllis energy as long as they are green. When the leaves turn brown or yellow color and dry out, you can cut them off.
