Basket-of-Gold (Aurinia saxatilis). also known as Golden Alyssum or Yellow-tuft, is a low-growing shrubby perennial,
in the Mustard Family (Brassicaceae), native to the montane regions of central & southeastern Europe, and Anatolia.
With silvery leaves and golden blooms, it is a most suitable addition for rockeries, raised beds, and containers.

The genus Aurinia is close to Alyssum and Lobularia but differs in having four or more seeds per silicle, versus one or two.

What do you think about planting Alyssum between some of the Creeping Phlox flowers?
