Allium ‘Globemaster’ (close-up) (from my garden, May 31, 2016). The Globemaster is a 1971 Jan Bijl hybrid cross of A. macleanii Baker and A. christophii. It is incredibly long-lasting with 10" globes of aster-violet florets. Perched on strong stems, the flowers can withstand drenching rains and rather strong wind gusts.
