Hey all, I recieved this plant for my birthday about a month and a half ago. Its grown very well so far, but recently I noticed some growths that look like roots, but from well above the dirt. 2 of them have grown into the ground quite firmly.

I also noticed a considerable number of the leaves are going yellow and shrivelling. Is that anything to be concerned about?

Hi there, The shoots which you refer to are the plants reproductive bits or babies, The yellow leaves are usually an indication of over watering, pick off these and discard them, reduce watering, if symptoms persist water with indoor plant food and move the plant from direct sunlight until it recovers.
