I am growing my own multi-colored bloom marigolds. I have 4 growing in peat moss pellets, 2 in the barrels up front. I made one huge mistake in one barrel the plant wont expand like the 1st one did. Which is because I didnt till up the soil and remove the old rose roots. Plus this soil is too sandy.

Also growing petunias and carnations from the seed.

What a nice start to a fine selection of seed-grown Summer annuals: Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus cv.; a perennial), Garden Petunia (Petunia x atkinsiana cv.), Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum cv.), and French Marigolds (Tagetes erecta 'Patula Group' cv.).
