On two occasions this week, United Utilities have visited different houses, on the other side of our road, to clear blocked sewage pipes in their drives. This is a service free to house owners in the Trafford area.
So obviously conscious are they of a particular problem that has increased over the years. Their vehicles look like this.

SoCal, here.

Flushables. I caught my 21-year-old tenant flushing those damn things down his toilet. Didn't catch him in the act (ha), but(t) ----- I discovered THREE empty packets on his bathroom floor (during authorized inspection, while he was away during Xmas). I saw those empty packets and **nearly had a stroke.**

Our house was built in 1904. Fortunately, we replaced the sewage pipes that connect to city sewers, years ago. But I seriously lost sleep after reading a whole writeup (online) about how those wipes create massive clogs. The wipes take YEARS to decompose.

Whoever invented those things and then labeled them as "flushable" deserves jail time. I wonder how many people have paid through the nose to have sewer pipes unclogged, thanks to flushables?
