A 25 by 4 foot area was selected for garlic for the 2019/2019 season. The ground was rototilled last week and is now covered with about 2 to 3 inches of wood chip mulch. This is for some Winter weather protection and to help in retaining moisture during the growing season. Garlic in Zone 5 is planted in the Fall.

Garlic takes little space. It grows well in some garden beds. Nothing is easier to grow than garlic.
