Growing under LED lights is working out remarkably well. Black from Tula tomato is similar to Black Krim. Both being dark fleshed tomatoes. I am growing mostly dark this year and will track the weight of production over the season. These three plants have been under my bucket LED lamps for 18 days They are large, strong and healthy.

Very cool! I've been wanting to grow under LED lights over next winter, maybe even get a winter crop out of my tomatillos, and maybe some Indigo Rose tomatoes. What lights are you using?

This or close equivalent would be my choice. high lumens 1380 and spectrum 3000K. I never have grown indoors to harvest. I only grow seedlings to a good size before placing outdoors. This woud be a strong light to experiment with.

^that's what I'm tentatively planning on getting. Putting it in one of those floor lamps with the medusa head.

Tomatillos and peppers are perennial if they don't freeze. I'm wondering if I can keep them producing through winter with a grow light. At least some pepper species are native to equatorial regions, so would never experience winter dormancy in their native range. I'm wondering if tomatillos can be forced into the same situation.

Price looks good for the bulb. Worth a try. Indoor growing to harvest can and is work. Often with poor results. I played with indoor growing tomatoes a few years ago and gave it up,
